Expert recommends 3 factors to consider before purchasing makeup
Women looking to invest in new natural cosmetics may want to take one expert's advice and consider three factors before making a purchase.
In an interview with the Financial, dermatologist at Aversi Clinic Nino Lomsadze commented that it is important to think about age, skin type and face shape when selecting beauty products.
She noted that skin type "could be dry skin, normal skin or oily skin", while face shape may be "wide, average or narrow".
As for age, this should be split between "young, average, mature and elderly", Ms Lomsadze stated.
Dermato-cosmetician Ia Kargareteli explained how skincare routines differ dependant on a person's age, as older faces often have a drier texture.
As a result, certain makeup will not always achieve the same looks and results as if was used on a younger individual.
German makeup artist Heike Falkenstein recently commented in the Sydney Morning Herald that heavy application of cosmetics is something older women should avoid.
