Five superfoods can buoy natural beauty
The old adage that the key to natural beauty is a good diet is not just hot air, according to one website.
Sugarscape.com reported that five superfoods can make a difference to a complexion and said things like as oats and watercress are vital for glowing skin.
Commenting on watercress, it stated: "Add a handful of watercress to your salad to help heal the skin and banish blemishes. It contains vital vitamins A (a known treatment for acne) and C (to help strengthen the skin), which will give your beauty an all-over boost."
Garlic and onions were also recommended by the website, which stated that the sulphur found in the bulbs can give skin a glow and make it very touchable.
Fans of natural skin care should ignore the fatty image that avocados have, according to one newspaper, which said that there are many benefits to eating the fruit.
The Times reported that half a medium avocado contains around 132 calories, which is less than the amount in 100g of hummus or 50gs of pumpkin seeds.
