Hydration important to natural skin care
Fans of natural skin care should make sure they keep their skin properly hydrated, according to one magazine, which said that getting the right amount of H20 can improve the condition of a complexion.
Stylist magazine reported that the importance of drinking enough water should not be underestimated by fans of natural makeup and spoke to an expert about the pros and cons.
"If your skin is dehydrated, it will appear dull. Water keeps it moisturised, limiting the damage caused by cold weather, heated room and caffeinated drinks," said cosmetic dermatologist Dr Ravi Jain.
Other advice from the magazine included using products to smooth skin, so that natural makeup looks more impressive when they are applied.
Skin care expert Chris Salgardo recently told the Wall Street Journal that preventing sun damage, helping skin to recover and drinking enough water are essential parts of keeping a good complexion.
