Kara Tointon shows that she's Strictly mad about natural skin care
Kara Tointon took a brave step this week and demonstrated the benefits of a natural skin care routine by going makeup free.
The former Eastenders actress, who is currently wowing audiences with her moves on Strictly Come Dancing, proved that stepping away from the natural cosmetics can be just as striking as layering on the slap.
Usually known for her meticulously groomed hair and glamorous styling, Kara stripped down to a simple sheet and tied-back mane, with not a scrap of natural foundation, eye shadow or lipstick in sight.
The 27-year-old told Heat: "I feel ridiculously naked. I've never not worn make-up, so this is a complete shock and so scary ... My mum's like, 'You cannot go out without make-up – don't be ridiculous!'"
But Kara proved Mummy Tointon wrong by looking every bit as stunning with her clear complexion in the understated shoot.
Yesterday, skin care expert and Nair technician Louise Thomas-Minns promoted the virtues of the three 'S' plan: slough your skin clear with an exfoliant, slather on moisturiser and smooth away unwanted hair.
