Keeping skin hydrated is vital, says expert
After spending time in the sun, fans of natural skin care should make sure they rehydrate their skin, according to a beauty expert.
Skin care specialist Chris Salgardo told the Wall Street Journal that preventing sun damage and helping skin to recover is essential to keeping a good complexion.
Mr Salgardo said that avoiding the sun at its highest points and applying sunscreen at least 20 minutes before sunbathing are both vital for people wanting to avoid sun damage.
He told the publication: "I'm also careful to hit my ears, hairline and back. A lot of people, especially men, forget to do those things."
Topping up on sunscreen throughout the day is also highly recommended by the expert who said this can give instant relief to skin.
Beauty expert Liz Earle told the Telegraph that using natural skin care products while in the sun is better for your skin than using chemical-based sun protection.
