Ladies not willing to compromise on natural skin care
It's hard to avoid news of government cuts and financial woes and many people are cutting back on their spending – but natural skin care is one area that ladies are refusing to scrimp on.
Research by Mintel has revealed that facial skin care is one of the strongest performing beauty categories, as women (and increasingly men) across Europe continue to invest in the future of their complexion.
Sales of products designed to keep the face in tip-top condition totalled a massive €6.2 billion (£5.5 billion) for 2010, up from €6 billion the previous year.
Vivienne Rudd, senior beauty analyst at Mintel, said: "Anti-ageing is a key sector for the beauty industry, and the segment is set to grow over the next decade, with an ageing population supporting sales. The anti-ageing skincare market is well placed to withstand the economic pressures of the coming years."
One of the best ways to protect the youthfulness of your skin is to use natural sunblock to stop damage from harmful UV rays.
