Makeup artist reveals over-the-top looks
Fans of organic skin care could be inspired by one makeup artist who has looked to the late 70s and early 80s when creating the style for a new film.
Robin Mathews worked on The Runaways, which is a film starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, who portray two of the members from the all-girl group the film is based on.
"It was all about Suzi Quatro and the Ramones' pale skin, heavy black eyeliner and hair, which was followed by 80s glam glitter and stripy blush. It was eccentric and over the top. Nothing was subtle," she stated.
The makeup artist added that when working on the faces of the stars she wanted to keep the look true to real life.
Pat McGrath recently gave Allure her top trends to emerge from the Milan catwalks and said that Dolce & Gabbana has opted to style its models with less than perfect makeup.
