Natural beauty: Moisture is vital for dealing with stretch marks
Fans of organic moisturiser are likely to face the problem of stretch marks at some point in their life, according to one newspaper, which said the key to dealing with the problem is moisturising.
The Sun spoke to Patrick Bowler, medical director of Court House Clinics, and he said that the marks can be masked as long as people use the right type of products.
"Stretch marks are scars in skin where it has lost elasticity. The only way to try to prevent stretch marks is to keep the skin moist with oil or moisturiser," he stated.
The expert added that for fresh stretch marks people should apply products with lots of vitamins A and D in order to promote cell turnover and prevent the marks from settling.
People investing in organic skin care need to make sure that they check the use-by dates on the products, as they may go off more quickly than ones packed with preservatives, according to the Daily Mail's beauty guru Elsa McAlonan.
