Natural hand cream: Don't neglect your mitts this winter
Hands are often the most neglected body part – we wash, moisturise and exfoliate our face, necks and body, but how many of us regularly reach for the natural hand cream?
Not enough of us, according to a beauty commentator, but now is the time to get on top of our hand care routine as nails are big this season.
Annabel Meggeson, writing for Stylist, said that our mitts should be at the top of the list for care and attention, as they are exposed to the elements more than any other body part, and touch as many as 30 different surfaces an hour.
In order to keep your digits in delectable condition, Ms Meggeson suggested that natural skin care fans should adopt a thorough routine of cleansing, moisturising, exfoliating and protecting with oil and serums.
Ms Meggeson said: "Follow your morning wash or shower with an antioxidant serum ... Next, apply a cream to seal in the moisture and keep skin as elastic as possible ... Your last layer should be a suncream."
Last month, Katherine Reeves, sales manager for nubar, said that natural hand cream and cuticle oil are essential for healthy nails.
