Natural skin care expert: Flawless complexions need the right food
If you're trying to achieve a radiant complexion, the most important thing to do is to eat right, a natural skin care expert has said.
Sally Penford, education manager at the International Dermal Institute, has said that ensuring you have a healthy and varied diet is a central part of obtaining a flawless visage.
She explained: "Your skin is a living organ. It is constantly changing, evolving, growing, regenerating and so much like all of the other cells in the body, it requires a whole variety of nutrients in order to be able to do that. Equally so, the wrong types of nutrients can have a negative impact upon the skin."
Ms Penford told natural skin care enthusiasts that pomegranates, red berries and blueberries are ideal choices, as strong-coloured fruits and vegetables are full of cleansing antioxidants.
Last week, Wendy Lewis from Beauty In The Bag said that the popularity for organic cosmetics and skin care products is proof that the trend is here to stay.
