Natural skin care icon Kim Cattrall 'wants to embrace ageing'
Kim Cattrall is known for her no-nonsense, image-obsessed Sex and the City alter ego Samantha Jones – but, unlike her character, Kim has told natural skin care fans that she would like to embrace ageing.
The 54-year-old actress told the Los Angeles Times that despite the drive for stars to keep up with their younger counterparts through surgical procedures, she'd like to tread the path of older sirens such as Helen Mirren and Annette Bening.
"I look at people like Judi Dench, who's in her 70s, and I think, 'What the hell am I frightened of? In my life and career I want to embrace ageing because I think that's what's interesting," she explained.
Kim is being even braver with her next film appearance, in which she is shown without any natural makeup as she portrays a mature adult film star.
"I didn't know whether I could do it," she admitted, but said that the experience was liberating.
If you want to retain the youthfulness of your complexion without surgery, Wendy Lewis from Beauty In The Bag has advised that you are "never too young" to start a thorough natural skin care routine.
