Natural skin care: Radiance is more important than symmetry
Fans of natural skin care who have a radiant and even complexion are the most attractive to the opposite sex, according to a team of researchers who looked into what makes a person alluring.
A team of scientists from the University of Gottingen in Germany told the Sunday Times that in tests people found models with even skin tone the most attractive.
He said: "Skin tone, especially in women, says a great deal about reproductive potential. Humans are highly evolved to pick up on cues like that because at one time in our past it would have been crucial for reproductive success."
The researchers photographed 170 models whose ages ranged from ten to 70 and asked 430 people to score them in terms of attractiveness.
Consultant dermatologist Dr Susan Mayou recently told the Metro that people need to adopt a new winter skin care regime as the colder months approach.
