Natural skin care: Winter can be tough on complexions
Fans of natural moisturiser need to make sure they take extra care of their skin and hair this winter, according to one newspaper which said that the colder weather means hydration is essential.
The Independent said that websites like You Tube provide tutelage on how to look after skin using natural skin care products and said that basic tips, like moisturising often, need to be heeded this winter.
It stated: "The winter season is the toughest on our skin, hair, and nails, since they dehydrate easily. One of the easiest ways to protect your hair from the cold is to use moisturising products and then braid the hair to 'trap' the moisture."
Consultant dermatologist Dr Nick Lowe recently told the Metro that avoiding long baths and opting for shorter, warm showers will be beneficial to skin during the winter months.
