Natural sunscreen advice given
Soon many of us will be going on summer holidays abroad or 'staycations' in the UK and thoughts are starting to turn to how to protect our skin from the sun with natural sunscreen.
Louise Thomas-Minns, skin specialist, beauty therapist and founder of Uandyouskin.co.uk, said: "Always ensure that you're using an SPF (sun factor protection) every day, so you're using some form of UV (ultraviolet) and environmental shield."
Ms Minns said that by doing this your skin will remain protected from the sun, as well as changes in temperature, pollution and the climate.
She said that you should pick a product that can be used each day, as our faces have to withstand the elements every day of the year, particularly UV, which is present all the time.
Ms Minns pointed out that you may find that the ageing process speeds up when you're exposed to the elements, which could see wrinkles and lines forming, as well as skin altering in tone and colour.
In addition, Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley, of Beautybible.com, said that it can be a good idea to choose mineral sun preparations, which do not leave white film on the skin.
