Organic products said to help prevent ageing
Individuals have been urged to opt for organic skincare products, as they are good for both the body and the environment.
Yahoo's RealBuzz lifestyle advice explained how natural beauty items have become increasingly popular in recent years, with people keen to move away from processed cosmetics.
"Using chemical-based skin products can not only be harmful for your health, but they can also lead to premature ageing," the news source stated.
This is due to compounds being absorbed through the skin and into the blood stream, it was noted.
In order to avoid polluting the body with chemicals, individuals were advised to switch to organic products, which were also described as a good way to help save the environment.
Another tip for a glowing, healthy complexion was to make lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking, reducing alcohol consumption, salty foods and late nights.
In a recent interview with the Washington Post, beauty author Stacy Malkan claimed it is important to check what ingredients a product has, as certain compounds can be toxic to the body.
