Organic skin care could be cure to perfume woes
Around seven out of ten women are allergic to their perfume and organic scents could offer the perfect alternative, according to one newspaper.
The Daily Mail reported that more women are seeking out natural perfumes which will not irritate their complexions, adding that almost three-quarters of women could suffer some sort of allergic reaction to fragrances during their lifetime.
It stated: "For a society that's so concerned with what we put on our plates and smear on our skin, it's incredible how little we know about the scents we spritz on every day."
The website added that fans of natural skin care need to be careful when choosing an organic perfume as many fall victim to 'greenwashing', where manufacturers try to make unnatural products sound more eco-friendly than they are.
Katie Keegan, editor of Ethical Pulse, recently said that consumers trying to buy natural beauty products are increasingly faced with advertising campaigns that greenwash unethical products.
