Organic sunscreen: How far are you willing to go for a tan?
Women are willing to discard their organic sunscreen and risk their health, and in some cases their lives, simply to get a tan, according to a new report.
The Daily Mail has reported that there has been a rise in women are lying in studies, saying that they do cover up when they get to the beach, but in fact are doing the exact opposite.
Clare Coleman, writing for the news provider, highlighted the rise in women using cooking oil when on holiday, which she explains could cause serious natural skin care problems for the future.
The recommended minimum of SPF is 30, according to the British Association of Dermatologists and how you apply it is also crucial – we should be using at least two tablespoons to cover our body.
To conclude, Ms Coleman said: "Somehow dying of ignorance is less shocking than the prospect of dying in vanity".
A recent study by London Gatwick Airport found that 56 per cent of women believe that having a pre-bronzed body when they hit the beach on the first day of their holiday would help them to feel more confident.
