Over half of natural skin care fans 'have sensitive skin'
According to recent research, over half of us now describe our skin as "sensitive" – making a natural skin care regime as important as ever.
The Daily Mail reported that there are many factors which could contribute to a complexion that is easily irritated, including allergies, environmental conditions and "harsh" beauty treatments.
Fragrance in products is often a major cause of sensitivity, as are soaps and sodium lauryl sulphate, which can be found in a number of shampoos, bubble baths and toothpastes.
Dr Nick Lowe, consultant dermatologist at the Cranley Clinic, suggested: "There are several key steps towards keeping skin calm. Stop using soap and wash with lukewarm water.
"Reduce the number of products that you are using and keep your skincare regime as simple as possible."
Yesterday, becomegorgeous.com told organic cosmetics fans that makeup products should be chosen for their quality, as well as their style credentials.
