Preparation is vital part of natural makeup
Fans of natural makeup need to ensure that they prepare their skin properly before they apply products, according to one expert, who recommended using a good primer to get the best results.
Beauty expert Ruby Hammer told Stylist magazine that people can enhance their makeup by taking the time to clear any blemishes before they put on foundation and other cosmetics.
"Use a primer before your foundation as this evens out the skin texture, holds in moisture and offers smooth application for the rest of your makeup," according to Ms Hammer.
Other advice from the expert included buying a foundation which matches the colour of your neck and décolletage, so that you look as natural as possible.
Linda Brown, professional makeup artist, recently supported Ms Hammer's views, stating that using a primer is the crucial first step which will set up the rest of the regime and help cover up any blemishes.
