Sex and the City star backs natural beauty
One of the stars of the hit show Sex and the City has revealed some of her top beauty tips in a recent article, and she places looking natural at the top of her list.
Kristen Davis, better known to fans of the series as Charlotte York, revealed her secrets to the beauty website allure.com.
The actress made recommendations for skin and hair care, which included favouring natural looking hair and using plenty of sunscreen.
She said: "I think people overuse straightening irons. I was just at an event and literally every person there had ironed and shellacked hair, and honestly, that look doesn't work for most people. If your hair has texture, let it have it."
Ms Davis made the comments after accepting a donation for a charity in New York and also spoke about some of her unnatural hair care faux-pas, which included a poorly thought out bout of hair dying while shooting an episode of Sex and the City.
In other hair care news, Rachael DeRosa, the beauty correspondent for auburnpub.com, said that more women are looking for paraben-free hair care products and organic alternatives to conventional shampoos and dyes.
