Skin should be makeup free for gym sessions
There are number of everyday situations when you should avoid wearing makeup and opt for a natural appearance, in order to boost your skin health.
This is according to Ecosalon writer Kristen Arnett, who explained how being fresh-faced is wise when heading to the gym or embarking on a long plane ride.
She claimed that wearing cosmetic products while working out can lead to "pimples, clogged pores and possibly irritation".
For those who are too scared to go completely barefaced, Ms Arnett recommended applying a little concealer under eyes and curling lashes.
When boarding a plane, ladies were encouraged to use lots of moisturiser in order to keep their skin hydrated as long-haul flights can be "very drying" and leave people "without a dewy glow".
Makeup Portal recommends avoiding caffeinated drinks as these can compound hydration problems and prevent skin from revitalising during the flight, with plenty of water suggested instead.
