Spring cleaning skin is 'key to natural beauty'
People who want to achieve beautiful skin this summer should know exfoliating and removing dead skin cells are vital, according to one expert.
Giving your skin a spring clean is essential, according to Holly Sherrard, a skin care specialist, who spoke to MetroNews recently.
She said: "Exfoliating increases cell turnover to reveal newer, healthier skin cells, plus it decreases blackheads, minimises hyperpigmentation and fine lines, and imparts an all-over healthy glow."
The skin care specialist added that exfoliating also helps with hydration and bringing healthier cells to the skin's surface.
Ms Sherrard added that the time is perfect to give your skin a new lease of life just as the summer gets going.
Self tanning advice was also given and she said exfoliating your legs before tanning is a great way to avoid streaking and uneven patches.
Kristen Davis, better known to fans of Sex in the City as Charlotte York, recently revealed her beauty secrets to beauty website Allure, saying that not overusing straightening irons and applying plenty of sunscreen are her best tips.
