Sun protection is 'vital' for natural skin care
Fans of natural skin care who want to improve the condition of their complexion should make sure they protect it from the damaging effects of the sun, according to an expert.
Dr Robb Akridge, co-founder and vice president of clinical research at Pacific Bioscience Laboratories, said that using products which guard the skin against sun damage should be a crucial part of any natural beauty regime.
He said: "The basic thing is always to have sun protection. After you cleanse always protect yourself because the sun is damaging your skin."
The expert added that although people love to get a tan in the short term, it can be detrimental to skin condition in the future and he said every product used should have some form of sun protection in it.
In other news, Cancer Research UK recently released data which showed that malignant melanoma has now become the most common kind of cancer for women in their 20s.
