Use organic sunscreen from 'six months old'

Use organic sunscreen from 'six months old' A skin care expert has offered organic sunscreen advice for ladies of all ages to make sure that people don’t age too rapidly.

Kiehl’s consulting dermatological expert, Dr Adam Geyer, said that mums should cover babies in sunscreen from six months old, as this is not only a health product, but also a fight against premature ageing, Australian Vogue reported.

He said: “… I do believe that people need to shift their views on sunscreen rather than an occasional thing to prevent a burn. It really is your primary beauty product.”

Dr Geyer also said that teenagers should focus their attention on preventing acne, controlling oil and any hydration issues.

Ladies in their twenties should instead look at halting the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, such as with a vitamin C serum, but are not ready for using retinoids just yet.

He also said that those aged 30 and above may wish to use items that contain retinoids and peptides and should also keep on using sunscreen for protection.

Recently, Bevis Mann of the British Skin Foundation, also said that when we’re choosing a sunscreen we should opt for one that’s SPF 30 or above.
