Winter natural skin care 'doesn't have to be expensive'
Many people will be avoiding their bank statement next month - but that doesn't mean that your natural skin care routine has to suffer!
For people that are feeling the post-Christmas pinch, an expert has suggested that everyday items can be used to complement your organic cosmetics and natural skin care products.
Elina Safin, from Ursula's About Phace makeup studio, told ABC Local readers that yogurt, nuts, asprin and baby food can play a role in beauty treatments.
An important thing to remember is to prepare your skin before attempting to exfoliate, Ms Safin said.
She suggested using organic Greek yogurt on damp skin to soften - to which you can add raspberries for anti-oxidants or honey to moisturise.
Crushed asprin or nuts with water makes an excellent exfoliating paste, the expert also advised.
Ms Safin added: "One of the best moisturising masks, if you want to do that, is raw honey. Another great moisturising mask is avocado. There are 20 different vitamins and minerals in avocado."
Last week, celebrity stylist Nicky Clarke said that natural hair care does not need to be difficult.
