Women shun natural beauty for Botox
Women are increasingly turning to the chemical injections of Botox instead of embracing a more healthy natural beauty routine, according to new statistics.
Despite the continual horror stories of celebs overdoing it and looking permanently shocked, new research has revealed that there has been a 15 per cent increase in the numbers of women (and men) trying the treatment for the first time.
The results of the studies conducted by Mintel were not taken well by Sean Poulter, writing for the Daily Mail.
He explained that more than one million treatments are being carried out each year for the first time, despite the contentious issues surrounding the injections.
"There are well known concerns that Botox injections into the face produce a number of undesired effects, not least creating a mask-like expression devoid of normal movement and expression," he said.
Women looking for a natural beauty version of Botox without the chemicals, should look to rose and bee's venom, which have both been listed as products that possess powerful anti-ageing properties.
