Brit teenagers fans of natural beauty

Brit teenagers fans of natural beauty Many of Britain's teenagers are a fan of their natural beauty, but some are taking it too far, according to new research.

Findings from Mintel show that 11 to 19 year olds often avoid showering and resort to using natural skin care products, like deodorant, instead.

However, the research also found these natural beauty fans also like to use their mascara every day and are using more perfume.

Many teens are also using natural skin care products to try to get rid of spots, which half suffer from.

The Mintel figures state that almost a quarter use facial wipes or washes, while 11 per cent use a specific spot treatment.

Alexandra Richmond, senior beauty analyst at Mintel, said: "Today's teenagers have a keen sense of self and there is a very real need for more products that are relevant to teens."

Kristin Armstrong, vice president of Kiehl's, recently told the Edmonton Journal that many shoppers feel reassured by natural skin care products, as opposed to the chemical alternatives.
