Natural beauty 'is vital for teens'
A group of teenagers returning to school have been advised to keep their skin care and beauty regime as natural as possible, according to one newspaper.
The Messenger reported on the back-to-school hygiene and beauty tips given to students at a programme for girls in Fort Dodge, in the US.
Peggy Sells, director of the Youth Shelter Care Girls Program, told the newspaper that the event was meant to help youngsters gain self-confidence before the start of the new school year.
She said: "We wanted to do something fun with the girls that would boost their confidence before returning to school."
Natural skin care tips, such as making sure foundation matches your face colour in order to create a natural look, were given at the course.
Martha Kepner, a health and beauty reporter for Examiner.com, recently said that ensuring makeup is removed before bed is vital if a woman wants to retain her natural beauty.
