The 20s are inspiring natural beauty
Fans of natural skin care should look back to the 1920s for style inspiration this winter, according to one expert who said the look is based around keeping things as natural as possible.
Amy Boyd, a professional makeup artist and graduate of School of Make-up, said that the decade is giving ideas to women who are embracing the glamour that the period is famous for.
She said: "I love the pale natural look and the 1920s look which is coming in is really pale and lovely, with lovely finger wave hair and red lips. It's going to be a big look this winter."
The expert added that she is not as keen on the fake tan look which became popular over the last ten years.
Elle UK's Melissa Dick recently said that designer John Galliano created a 1920s-inspired collection for autumn 2009 and sent his models out onto the catwalks sporting pencilled eyebrows and dark, dramatic lips.
