The range of scents is not very large, but they are pleasant and I don't get bored with them. Jasmine is my favorite, a subtle calming floral. Lathers great and is amazingly economical. The consistency is a thick gel. One other thing is the packing, pretty, but also very sturdy, you can leave the product in the shower and it will not loose the label, get moldy or take water, months later (yes, because it takes months to finish this) it looks still like new. I prefer the large tubs with the pump, but the small tubs are very good for traveling, as they are flat. I really feel that at Akin they didn't leave anything to the hazard, everything has been thoroughly meditated."

  • A'kin Skin Care Rose & Geranium Pure Creamy Cleanser & Toner in One "My skin is not one type; its combination but the oily parts can get like an oil slick and the dry parts can suffer from ezcema and flaking. It's also very sensitive as I have various allergies and I'm not so young any more. I find it so hard to get the right products. I tried this cleanser on the basis of the great reviews and the fact that switching to a sulphate free shampoo has really helped my scalp. My verdict - hands down the best cleanser I've ever used! After less than a week my skin is calmer, more balanced and my pores seem to be shrinking, the patch of ezcema on my cheek has almost gone. I use a tiny amount in the morning as a quick facial wash and at night use a little bit more, massage it in and remove with a muslin cloth. I think it will last a good while so is great value for money. MyPure delivery was very quick and reasonably priced so I know when I run low I can get new supplies within a few days."

    I used to think I had combination skin as I got occasional breakouts with a shinny T-zone.....when all I needed was this to restore balance and now my skin is glowing.I did try the other A'Kin cleanser but found it too drying for my nearly fifty skin. Oh and my husband loves it too and he gets excema if there are nasties like SLS, colouring, perfumes etc and he can use it to shave with....

    I too think this beats Liz Earle hands down - but then it has no nasties like propylene glycol in it, hardly natural... Our antipodean cousins have it sorted, if it says natural or organic on the front of the bottle then that's whats inside. Wish the UK did the same."

Have just reordered from Mypure after using a few different so called natural cleansers in an effort to save money as my budget is a lot tighter after having my first child. My skin used to be combination but since having a baby it has become dry and very sensitive, reacting to nearly every cleanser I have tried except this one. Not the cheapest cleanser but certainly not the most expensive and it's worth every penny. As it's not only a fabulous cleanser but an eye makeup remover and toner in one it's very cost effective really. I may have to skimpt on other things but this is one product that I won't be without now especially after using others recently which left my skin very unhappy . I hardly need much moisturiser after cleansing with this, but it doesn't leave my skin greasy or congested either. I've used another very well known award winning cleanser which you have to use with a muslin cloth (you know the one I mean) and this is far superior and doesn't contain irritating ingredients like Eucalyptus, which the other one does. I use this just with water in the morning in the shower and then with a muslin cloth in the evening to help remove my make, so it's very versatile. Fantastic cleanser, what more can I say?!"

I also suffer from rosacea, this cleansing cream seems to take away the redness, unlike many other skin care brands I have tried like Clarins, Elemis, Aveda.
    The cleansing cream is very creamy so would recommend a small amount only to be used, would last for ages and great value for money.

I have spent most of my life trying to find a product to control my uncontrollable skin and thanks to A'kin I have finally done that. I never had a problem with my skin in my teenage years (I am 30 now), but in my early twenties my skin became a nightmare. I have tried every combination product you can think of and nothing has given me results like this. If I used spot control creams my skin became tight and dry, and thicker creams caused spots, I couldn’t win. I have been using these products for a month and everything has changed no spots, no hydration lines, no dry patches, it really is fantastic, I even have a silky glow to my skin. As long as you use enough of it, it is very effective (didn't use enough the first night and got bitten to death). I found it was best to pour it into my hand and smear it on, spraying wasn't enough - you have to use quite a lot. Still got bitten a couple of times but considering the amount of mosquitoes around I was satisfied with the result. Smells lovely and feels good and very gentle on the skin. I was slightly sceptical beforehand (well if it's so good how come I had never heard about it) but I was wrong, I could see a marked improvement in my skin within days of starting to use rosehip oil and its benefits are many: it is natural; it is healthy; it smells 'real' with no scent of chemicals, having said that it smells lovely I think, like an old cupboard that has always stored herb teas; it glides onto the skin (use a light hand so that it spreads more easily as it is quite a dry oil); and its effects are noticeable.   • Living Nature Extra Hydrating Gel "I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, I duly had the operation and then post operative radio therapy. We (patients) were told to use sorbelene or similar product if we get burnt or spotty etc.

    I decided to use Living Nature and slathered it on the affected breast from Day 1 of the 20 treatments. How glad I am!! I used Extra Hydrating Gel and followed up with Nourishing Day Cream at least 3 times a day or more if I felt the need. I would like to state quite categorically that I have not been affected by the treatment like some of the other women have.

    They have suffered blisters, burnt skin, blotching of skin and all I had was a little pinkness which has since disappeared. I have no doubt that Living Nature helped me keep free of infections. I shall have to replace the extra hydrating gel but the other products are so creamy and economical. A thousand thanks."

  • Living Nature Nourishing Day Cream - New Formula "I’ve been using Living Nature products for about 18months now, and I just want to let you know what a fantastic range it is, and I hope you never stop making it my lifetime! I have an intolerance to fragrance and perfumes etc, mostly sinus and respiratory problems, and it has always been difficult (or very expensive) to find skin and hair care products without perfumes. I have very temperamental skin, which I can wash with soap and water but if I try to moisturise it, with products from even the most expensive product lines, after about 4 days I break out in some sort of rash or eczema. I just recently got over a bout of eczema for which I had to go onto antibiotics, but when I was in the height of it I went into the health store.     My problem was hormonal acne due to estrogen dominance; my age is 44 and my skin was full of inward sacs. For nearly 2 years I had a rash (for want of another word) on my lips that I tried every known lotion and potion for - including cold sore cream, steroid tablets and betnovate ointment which was the only thing that controlled it for a short period. The chemist loved me as I literally spent thousands trying to fix it including 2 visits to my GP and 1 visit to the dermatologist who told me to stop licking my lips and charged me 140 for the privilege. I was given the balm as a gift and after a couple of days my lips healed up and have pretty much been OK ever since. I use the balm sparingly now when they are dry. What amazing stuff – I recommend it to everyone with problems similar and believe it would heal anything – I’ve even put it on my baby’s bum for nappy rash! Even though I’ve always strived to only make use of organically-grown foods and products in my life, I found the only way I keep my face from looking like a pizza after shaving was to use chemically-made shaving product that contained benzocaine. However because I wasn’t at all happy with continually using this concoction loaded with chemicals, I continued to always keep an eye open for the perfect shaving lotion. Fortunately on a trip to New Zealand, I had the good fortune of being able to try the Gentle Cleansing Shaving Gel.   • Living Nature Nourishing Manuka Hand & Body Cream "I am writing to you simply to share a wonderful experience my family and I have enjoyed thanks to your amazing products. My story begins about four weeks ago, when my 4 1/2 year old daughter developed (overnight) a total body rash. I took her straight to our local doctor who suggested antibiotics three times daily for ten days, plus a hydrocortisone cream twice daily over her body. I was very upset, I do not believe in using the above drugs. My daughter has only had antibiotics once in her life and my 2 1/2 year old son has never had them. So I walked across the road to the health shop. They suggested your Nourishing Hand & Body Cream mixed with a little drop of tea tree oil twice daily and a multivitamin. The change was instant. The body cream took my daughters itchy, hot feeling in her skin away in the first use. Within three days the red rash was just little raised skin colour bumps. A week went by and they had all gone. I lived abroad for a while in a hot humid climate and my hair suffered and was becoming very tangled and dry at the ends (slightly oily roots). I have very fine long hair and these do not weigh my hair down at all, no static, less flyaway, no more tangles at all (amazing!). Makes my hair really soft and healthy, moisturises without heaviness, extremely gentle too. The skin on my face was reacting very strongly to other natural shampoos - no sensitivity to these at all. Mandarin shampoo is really balancing out my hair. Will be trying other conditioners - need something a bit more intensive for dry ends. I use the two mixed together for shaving too. Wish Akin did a good volumising styling product.

Goes on like a dream, never clumps, and is equally great for a daytime subtle look or a more dramatic evening look as it works really well if you want to put on extra coats. My only advice is to invest in a good natural make-up remover as it didn't come off that great when I just used my facial cleanser and water. It's far more expensive than I would normally spend on a mascara, but I don't think I'd use anything else now. I've always found a lot of mascaras to clump, smudge and generally not make the most of my eyelashes, and chemical mascaras can make my eyes weep and itch, but not any more! Well done, Sukicolor!"

It certainly hasn't got rid of the problem. The only solution I have ever found is steroid creams from the doctor - and I can't use those at the moment as I'm breastfeeding. Do give it a go as it has obviously worked for some - but don't expect miracles.

    NOTE FROM MYPURE: Skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and itchy scalps can be caused by external irritants or internal problems. Skin conditions caused by external irritants are the easier ones to fix. In these cases the symptoms are usually caused by sensitivities to the chemicals found in products used on the skin. These could be certain preservatives, fragrances or evening foaming ingredients. The best way to treat such skin conditions is to avoid the irritating chemicals in the first place and you should find switching to natural ingredients will help. If switching doesn't help then your skin condition could be aggravated by something else such as your diet, stress or emotional well being.   • Living Nature Hydrating Toning Gel 50ml "I love your Living Nature Hydrating Gel. I have been battling dry/flaky and acne prone skin for ages, nothing seems to help. I have tried a lot of products (exfoliators, masks, moisturizers, AHA’s) from mega brands (eg: Lancom, Estee Lauder, Clarins…). Today was the first time I saw your products and decided to give the flax gel a try – it has taken away the tightening sensation and hydrated my skin. I am already feeling better! Some moisturisers from mega brands made the flaky patches of my skin go away, but the flakes would reappear when I put my foundation on – very nasty. My skin is slightly oily and I should really use a foaming cleanser but I find them too drying. This creamy cleanser is light and not too thick - more like a lotion. I tried the A'kin cleanser but I found it too rich for my skin. The tube size is also great - 100ml is max size for hand luggage on a plane, plus the screw cap means it doesn't accidentally open in my gym bag. Good all round everyday product!"

He used it for a few days with a puff. They are healing very well - i mean the spots. I got the second bottle for myself as it smell so nice. Oh my god, this is the best shower gel one can ever find. You can feel right away this is real good natural stuff. You don't feel any soap residue left on your skin. Soft and very very clean. I'd given up on hand sanitisers because they are usually so chemical, sticky and drying. It doesn't feel sticky at all. Recently used it on holiday - very useful.   • Living Nature Mum & Baby Sensitive Bits Gel "The Living Nature Mother & Baby range is nice quality and effective. This is quite soothing and very easy to apply - it's not sticky so it doesn't irritate the skin when you rub iit in - it just sinks in.

    The whole range has a strong tea tree scent - I like tea tree but find this a bit clinical. With this product in particular, however, there is also a faint odour of damp dog when you use it.

    The design of the bottles is good - easy to stand up and critically difficult for little ones to get open (so far it has defeated my 19 month old who can empty the contents of most bottles in seconds). However, the strip that is in place to seal the bottles prior to use is very chokable in size. Make sure you remove it before it gets anywhere near a small child.
