Les Senteurs Gourmandes want to compose their scented creations with high quality materials from their home in France and elsewhere. They have selected Oud wood, an exceptional oriental material, symbolic essence of the Orient. This still little-known ingredient intrigued them. Les Senteurs Gourmandes therefore decided to work on it, to wear it, to adopt it, to reinterpret it in a collection dedicated to it: eaux de parfum: Rose Oud, Black Oud, Amber Oud and Blossom Oud.
The Oud comes from a rare tree found in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand ...). To protect itself from a fungal infection, the tree produces a fragrant resin called OUD. For millennia, Oud has been known for its purifying properties. It is considered a divine manifestation, capable of purifying body and mind. It has been, over the ages, adopted by almost all religions: embalming in Egypt, the tree of the Garden of Eden, the Incense offered to the baby Jesus, the favorite scent of the Prophet Muhammad… Its scent fascinates with its leathery, woody, spicy, animal notes… a bewitching and refined blend.
This eau de parfum is made up of 90% natural ingredients.
